Expand the Boiling Point

Once the mixture is hot enough that boil points begin, you want to maximize the size of the boil.
Ideally you want to boil all the surface gunk and turn it into clear liquid.
A perfect boil hardly ever occurs.
What you're shooting for is a large, clear pool in the middle of the mixture.
