Cook slowly and let entire mixture melt
Do not leave spoon directly on the element. It will create small boiling points too quickly.
Cook on a hot setting, but not so hot that the element turns red.
The key to cooking MS Contin is to try and have the entire mixture melt into a liquid.
In order to do that, make sure to move the spoon that all sections of it are over the hottest element.
Take the time necessary to have all the powder break down and merge with the water liquid
Hold the spoon just above the element, and shake it back and forth gently so the mixture shifts.
Only leave the spoon directly touching the element for very short periods.
In picture, chunks are starting to break down and entire mixture is melt well.
