About Dark Days

I thought I should actually have a little bit of info about the site, so here goes...

Date Opened
I don't acutally know the *date* it was opened, but I know that it was opened in mid 2003. So it's been a while. I closed the site for a short bit in October-Decmeber last year, but I missed making the site so much that I re-opened it!

Why the name"Dark Days"?
Well, I was thinking something that reflected the end of Frodo's journey in The Return of the King. There was one line that sealed it for me...Frodo says it to Sam at the very start of RotK - "...It isn't midday yet. The days are growing darker." So, I played around with a few possible names, but that one seemed to stick out.

Why Elijah AND Frodo
Well, I really got into the Lord of the Rings trilogy and I was fascinated by Frodo. He was just a memorable character I guess, and I found his journey quite intruiging. So, when the credits were rolling I checked to see who played Frodo, and I knew I recognised the name "Elijah Wood" from another movie. So, I hopped onto the internet and searched for Elijah Wood. That was the beginning of the love affair I suppose! I don't know why I just didn't want to open a fansite for Elijah...it just seemed that I wasn't honoring Frodo, and I felt kinda guilty...so it became Elijah AND Frodo.
