-one thread per user
-if you don\'t want to show off your site anymore, please pm the mods to delete the thread
-compliments or positive criticism which will help the user make his or her site better will be accepted

To clear this up once and for all:
What is acceptable and what is not:

this is just to prevent sentences like: \'your site is bullshit\'
comments like: \'I don\'t like this site because you are using Times New Roman\' are welcome Smiley

How come no negative feedback? Ok, I don\'t mean to be rude or anything but shouldn\'t users be able to comment on a site any way they want?

If only positive feedback is allowed then how is the webmaster going to know how others truly see his/her work? As a web developer you should be ready to face good and bad reviews of your work, after all by submiting sites to the www you are putting them in the eyes of all.
That\'s how the real world works, not everyone is polite. So why have it any other way?

Maybe I am missunderstanding the post but I don\'t agree with this type of restriction. but like I said, I could be missing something.

PS. Good idea this new forum

not everyone thinks like you. You can have positive critisism which means you could post what you don\'t like but not it a rude way to help the user make their site a better one. We don\'t want to put anyone down because some people are new to the whole Web Design/Development thing and what you could do in 5 minutes might take them a few hours to complete. Hope you understand what I\'m saying.

I understand what you are saying, and it\'s true, we are all in a way new to this whole thing, but let\'s get real

if you don\'t like the site don\'t comment
Huh What\'s that all about?
Like I said, the whole world is not composed by Dhost posters, I think that if you see a mediocre job you should be allowed to say what you feel, If people are not ready then don\'t get in this. And by mediocre I do not mean beginners, I mean sites with stolen, copyrighted, or other material.
What happens to book writers, painters, artists? Does one bad cristisism bring them down? I think it actually helps them grow.

Besides, I don\'t mean insult someone without mercy, not at all, but saying, \"I really don\'t like this site because I think the content is stupid due to so and so\", shouldn\'t be a problem.

The rules are fine except for that second line I quoted above, I doubt anyone here would give rude feedback but still, I don\'t like restrictions on public opinion. Either way, you make the call.

Its just to prevent fights at this forum and to make sure no rude comments are posted. I will discuss this with kUnde tomrrow.

well, i guess for now it is ok to advertise your site here. But, we may be making a public advertisment forum in the future and all non-dhost sites will be moved there
