I don't think we should be in Iraq (If we left they would proabaly kill them selves off anyway) but at least our homeland security thing is working. WE havent got any attacks on US soil since 9/11. The only thing I don't like is the airport thing, they search everyone.

My ass that that is 100% fool proof. Last year when i went to Malaysia i had a Swiss army knife in my pocketed and i went to the security here at schiphol (amsterdam) and no one said anything about it. Went in Kuala Lumpur through the security and again no one noticed it. So i sat both on my way to there as well as back with a knife, so my ass for that lame security.

I am talking about US airports, they won't let you bring any thing, they search labtops for bombs, etc. They have National Guard soldiers and stuff at all major airports here, if you were in a us airport with that knife you probaly would have been arrested or worse.

In the UK, they either let you send it home, or you have too throw it away.

I got a survival kit for Christmas and i was stupid enough to put it in my bag, and since it had a knife they confiscated the knife, thus ruining the kit.

I don't really think they're cowards. Terrorists are actually very smart and tactical.

I'm tired of this arguing, heard it over and over, I've argued on both sides of the issue. I think to argue something, you need to know both your side and a lot of what the opposing side is saying to your face and behind your back. Regarding events up to 9/11, in Afghanistan and of bin Laden, one should read the book Ghost Wars. It is very well written and gives a lot of insight into what went on in the area of the world called the Middle East.

Okay, I'm done.

What motivates these people is religion. They die in the belief that they are commiting a righteous act of bravery.

Instead they just add to the cycle of violence that will inevitably continue.

It's just part of the human animal's most basic instincts - to cause pain and misery.

As soon as you can dehumanise your victims (in your own mind) anything is possible. Nazi Germany proved this, Rwanda etc....no-one ever learns.

Think of it this way, my parents are vey caring if i spent over 4 hours on the computer in a day, they would probably pull out the internet cable, and i've gone off (crap) like charmed, since i now find its a waste of time as i find its far more interesting to play the piano and guitar also i got a lot of my posts with the fast reply. You get the point.

I saw a documentary about a muslim suicide bomber in Israel at the age of 17 who tried to blow himself up 4 times, and failed and all 4 and got caught on the 4th and he still to this day is ashamed that he did not die (in his mind) a martyr, very sad.

Unfortunately there are a lot of inequities and injustices in this world.

Luckily, we are fortunate (in the west) that these things are infrequent.

This is one of the reasons I don't like religion or patriatism
