Msc: Sorry, we can't do that for you. You do realize that if we could, you would be losing information such as members topics, and posts? It seems like you've installed mods to your forum since your backup; your problem will be fixed when you re-install them.

Michael, instead of renting another server, perhaps you could install a feature where users can download their complete website as a zip archive. The zip file, when created, would be placed in a secured temporary folder and gets deleted after an hour of creation.

I think this is a quiet good idea, I will think about something like this. But anyway it is time to rent a new server anyway maybe in a few weeks or so.

Shit.

It's almost like God is sending me a message. I've been meaning to change my site's content from being file-based to database based, and now with all my pages gone (and thus data as well) I actually have a reason to do so.

Also thank goodness I make regular (lmao 6-month) backups of my data.

It's good to see that the folders are still there, I can backtrack and see what is missing.

Users: Just do not delete site files from your local disk while you are cleaning your system.
Some additional KB / MB won't slow down your computers. It's the natural backup. Don't modify files directly on FTP. Do it locally first. Then upload onto FTP. Remember also about making backup of your database. You can do it with phpMyAdmin. Some CMS have also this feature.

Only SQLite driver is enabled in PDO. Sad I would be pleased if you enabled MySQL driver if it is possible. Smiley I hope there are more PHP programmers among DHost community and they care about data security and the progress. Using old and outdated mysql_* functions is more dangerous and does not offer new features like: transactions, prepared statements, foreach($query as $row), more modes of fetching rows (e.g. arrays, column, object), etc.

Do not install scripts that use huge amounts of RAM and CPU power!
Nie instalujcie zasobożernych skryptów na serwerze dHost!
