I'm on my athlon XP 1800+ rig right now. My dad tried to flash the bios on his DFI NB72-SC mainboard (Intel 845 chipset w\ a P4 2.4*C) and failed miserably. Fortunantly for me, he gave me his P4 CPU which beats the daylights out of my Athlon XP, his P4 mobo w\ broken BIOS, and his RAM, (he ordered a bunch of new stuff before he handed this stuff out).
Currently all i can use is the RAM, which i have in my system right now (1gb of ram rocks!!). I'm gonan be contacting DFI's RMA department tommorow to send the NB72 back for reapirs (god bless their warrenty Smiley ). I noticed that the NB72 is using a outdated chipset, the Intel 845, so it's definently time to start saving my pennies for a new mainboard.
I've got my eyes on the Asus P4P800-E Delux right now. It has the Intel 865PE chipset, and in the benchmarks i've seen it kicks some serious arse when compared to the supposedly better 875 chipsets. Has anyone had any expereince with this perticular board before? If you have, what are your opinions on it?
