I've not been here for a long time. The forum has changed since my last visit. There are less active members... It's like nobody is here anymore.

I'm sorry to say this, but I think there are too many moderators in this forum (no offence). The moderators are just too 'rough'... Almost 50% of topics are closed.

The moderation level of this forum is too high since it doesn't have a lot of active members. A little off-topic is not so bad and I think that you should consider lowering the level of the moderation. You should give it a thought.

I hope to see some comments on this...

There are lots of moderators but some rarely or frequently visit here. So the number of moderator are fine the way it is.

Yes there are lots of closed topics because rather than keeping it open for "chat" it's better closed since nothing productive will not come out of it.

EDIT: There are two global moderators that have access to most of the site and can do moderating while there are some that are international mods and can only mod certain areas that they are assigned to. So there isn't really "too many" mods.

There are 2 admins and 4 moderators (not international). Okay, the number is not so big.. The number doesn't really matter. All I wanted to say was that the level of the moderation is too high (I was reffering to the number of the closed topics and deleted sites). That's all. After all, it's just my opinion.

BTW, forums are actually not meant to be productive. :rolleyes:

Most threads that are closed are closed for a reason and that's for any argument that would or did start up.

Maybe you're right.. I'm not gonna argue with you, but I still think that the moderators are too strict. I have been a moderator once and I had experience with low-IQ spammers and flamewar starters. I know when a topic "deserves" to be closed (yeah, I've closed many topics as a moderator), but I think that a little chitchat won't hurt.

Closing too many topics isn't good. Close a topic only when it really need to be closed.

Chit-chat can go to PM's or another means of way but there are times that 'chat' can be allowed.

I just want to add to zeroguy and everyone, that Moderators cannot delete sites. That is admins only (Michael & Jason).

I just don't remember this forum being so strictly moderated. That's all.
