Adamantking emerge from the deepest part of the Quadav lair!
A brave (or perhaps over-confident) red mage decided to
charge full force after the giant tortoise.
After
he was destroyed in seconds, GR decided to give it a shot.
After a few hits, the obvious choice was to retreat. Guess
we'd rather be alive then in a pile next to what was the
red mage.

| Vana'Diel
is not a small world after all. Instead it can take a very
long time to travel from one part of the world to the next.
Luckily,with the advent of the airship, it isn't as hard
to get around as it used to be.
After
achiving Rank 5 in your home nation, Jeuno will award you
with an airship pass. Here, Jainus and SirFlaw are enjoying
the calm breeze and view that accompany an evening flight. |

Robbiegobbie
wanted to try a BCNM quest and invited his two friends Shuishen
and Dancingmind. It was to be the first Burning Circle Notorious
Monster fight for all 3 members.
We
were told that bats were the prey to fight, but somehow
ended up fighting spitting fish (pugils) instead!!! Their
spits sent each member flying accross the room. Moments
after this picture was taken, the GR crew was wiped out
in a matter of seconds.
Let
this be a reminder to always be well prepared before engaing
these kinds of monsters! |

While
searching Vana'Diel for some answers on the whereabouts
of her family, Dancingmind stumbled accross a vast
void. This void was most bizarre indeed! It seemed
like the darkest of places, yet, DM could see herself
perfectly as if there were lamps inside.
After
spending some time in the void, Dancingmind wondered
what other creatures would think of the habitat. Deciding
that luring a black tiger into the void would be the
best idea, the mithra was not overly surprised when
the tiger was not impressed. |

It's
Christmas time in Bastok! Besides the sky searching and
santa hat wearing, there's always getting dressed up in
your best duds and hanging around with friends.
That's
what Christmas is about, and it's no different in Vana'Diel!

| In
Port Bastok, an old elf offerred to give a fortune based
on the compatibility of two adventurous for a small fee.
He quoted Dancingmind and Sirflaw as a group that was "very
compatible and would have many prosperous adventures"
Despite
the nice prediction, Dancingmind felt it wasn't worth her
10 gil and sneak attacked the poor elf! |

and Ladon in the Kuftal Tunnel |

watched as an alliance was decimated by lvl 85 High level
Notorious Monster in the deepest areas of the Kuftal Tunnel,
Bune!
Meanwhile,
Dancingmind met Bune's little sister, Ladon. DM's party
was able to take on the lower level dragon easily.

The
chance to finally boost your character's attributes
with merits. It can take years for people to meet
this goal.

GR
members have met with mixed results in this quest. Evilelder
has completed the task swiftly while Dancingmind has seen
the most horrible masacres take place.
The
importance of a successful quest is excellent communication
between a full 18 person alliance and a good leader.
It
would be nice to repeat this quest with only GR linkshell
members to see how efficiently we could work as a team

Never
have I seen the Bastok Markets so crowded as the day
I wandered into an egg hunt. It was another special
festival and everyone was out and participating.
The
challenge for this festival was finding eggs with
a letter on it. If you can find the eggs that match
the first three letters of your name, a moogle would
award you with a special egg with mystical powers. |

Witnesses
in San Doria have claimed that it was in fact not
a hoax... the exploding Chocobo event did occur in
Port San D'oria near the Auction Houses.
Still,
the authorities of San D'Oria will try to have you
believe otherwise. One guard explained to the press
that the exploding chocobo has nothing to do with
customers using the auction house for synthing ingredients.
He claimed that the Auction House has always been
a safe place and will remain so much like the pride
of the Elvaan!

| Quest
for the Stone Monuments |

| During
Dancinmind's search for her lineage and past she undertook
a quest from the mayor of Selbina. The Mayor, Abelard, wanted
her to seek all the stone monuments located accross Vana'Diel.
While
on her journey she kept a log
of where the monuments are located so other travelers
could learn more of Vana' Diel's past. |

| A
Tavnazian citizen, Chemioue, is so stricken with grief
he has decided to play with life itself. The master
mannequin maker, in hopes of bringing the memory of
his dead wife alive, attempts to make a mannequin
come to life.
With
the aid of a Necromancer that lives deep in the Phomiuna
Aqueducts, the mannequin Alsha comes to life!
But
not all is as it seems as it begins destroying everything
in its path. Quickly Dancingmind and Sharlene take
the mannequin down. With its last breaths, Alsha cries
oil and attempts to kill herself with fire.
Eventually
it is finished. Alsha's memory will have to live on
another way. |

It
was a sad day when Shuishen announced that he was
departing for shores unknown and planned on never
returning.
Jainus
and Sirflaw immediately sent Shuishen the best of
luck in his travels. Moments later, Knightomegaone
joined the group to send his regards.
It
was a sad day that Jainus described as "being
like a funeral". Seeing a friend leave and thinking
he would never return is not a fate we wish upon any
of our members. GR is a family and when someone is
gone it is sad day indeed.
Luckily,
one day Shuishen returned from his voyage safe and
sound. All of GR was happy to see him safe and sound. |

| The
Selbina to Mhaura Boat |

With
pirate attacks and deadly sea monsters lurking, a
ride on the boat between Mhaura and Selbina is always
an exciting place to fish.
Despite
its very climatic moments, the boat ride serves as
a place for serenity too. Observing its sunsets and
listening to the calm waves touch the boat is a great
way to relax after a full day of battles. |

Truly
the gods are punishing adventurers by hiding some
of the best equipment within the deepest parts of
an undead Citadel.
to
get to a treasure coffer for Sweetthing (WHM) and
Gerth (MNK), GR had to travel through two banishing
gates. each gate required 4 people to stand on a switch
to open the giant door.
Luckily,
with help from members Viciouseyes, SirFlaw and Dancingmind,
everyone was able to get their items easily! |

North
Gustaberg was in trouble! A major Quadav invasion
was planned for the outpost and then towards the city
of Bastok! Luckily, Viciouseyes and many other Bastokers
were able to take the call. Dancingmind jumped in
to join her friend and defend her city.
Sweetthing
and Kithcannon have joined the forces to stop invading
Beastmen as well. Don't let the casual photo below
fool you, when the Beastmen attack Kithcannon unloads
his black magic on the enemies while Sweet graciously
protects the troops.
Besides
being loyal to their home country's Outpost protection,
Kith and Sweet will gladly help protect other nations!

| Quest
for Dark Knight Armor |

|
 |
A mysterious person
sent Jainus on a search to find Gerwitz. But the quest
would not be all it seemed with Gerwitz being dead
long ago.
Jainus enlisted the help of GR members
Sirflaw, Sweetthing, Kithcannon and Dancingmind to
fight the Axe, Sword, and Soul spirits of Gerwitz.
After defeating all three monsters,
Gerwit's spirit was able to rest in peace and Jainus
received a Dark Knight artifact piece in return!

After
an accidental death warp sent an under-levelled white
mage Wandera to Selbina, she called upon the help
of Peeweewizard.
Overhearing
the conversation, Dancingmind was amazed to hear it
was the same story that had occured to her a year
previous! She gladly served as a guide to San D'Oria
where Wandera wandered to safety!
One
year ago, Tricksta and xDarkslidex did their best
to keep the mobs off a level 3 white mage named Dancingmind.
They were not as successful guiding her, but luckily
xDarkslidex was able to raise after an incident. |

The
great knight SirFlaw was always a defender of the
people of Bastok, but one resident seemed to accompany
his travels most. The white mage ZekeMorgan, who was
always in need of a good tank, was able in turn to
heal his friend's wounds.
These two shared many journeys together until one
day, Zekemorgan mysteriously dissapeared..... |

Tale of Love Gone Horribly Wrong |

| The
tail ... errrr I mean tale of Neferkitty is an interesting
one. When first meeting the GR linkshell she spoke off an
upcoming wedding with LS Member Ashton. All seemed to be
going well, and many GR members donated money to help see
the wedding occur! A wedding for all the LS members to attend?
How exciting!
That
was until this photo occured. Apparently Ashton is known
to be around a new Mithra every week. This Vana' Diel player
obviously broke off the engagement rather quickly. But,
Alas, this was not the end of the strange couples story.
Months
later a new engagement was announced; Neferkitty and Sirflaw!
How could this be? It was a confusing time and even more
surprising when Flaw discovered one day that Nefer was not
all she seemed.... let us just say that the cat had
more secrets then originally expected.
Upon
these discoveries, Neferkitty fled and hid. The money donated
to the wedding was never returned and it was assumed that
Nefer and Ashton were searching for the next person to flirt
and rob gil from.
Some
months later a relationship developed between Cocoanut and
Sirflaw. It came to an abrubt halt as Cocoanut mentioned
her newest interest was none other then the infamous Ashton....
Meanwhile, shouts about the notorious tricks of Neferkitti
can be heard from other linkshell groups in every major
city accross the world |

recently became Jainus' mission to aquire as many
mannequins as possible. With Far too many Artifact
Armor pieces, it seemed necessary to have somewhere
to put them when not being used.
Then,
Jainus got an even better idea: "Why not get
Mannequins that resemble the members of GR?"
The
idea seemed so interesting that Dancingmind had to
drop by and see..... or did she? |
