I'm sorry that this site has been slightly neglected of late. I have finally decided to make it official, and say that I am no longer updating.
I guess you could think of it as an open hiatus, but I can't see me updating anything in the near future. However, to me the site feels uncomplete. There are only a handful of
biographies there, and only two scenes capped. It really needs to be revamped, but I just don't have the time, or the motivation. If I thought I could consitantly come up with updates,
I would feel motivated.
Lots of people have been saying that now that the movies are all released, they are loosing interest in Lord of the Rings. I'd just like to clarifly that with me, that is not the case.
I've been reading and re-reading the books more than ever, and I've come to realise that this website just doesn't give credit to the brilliance of Tolkien.
I love discussing his works on forums, and looking at other peoples fan works, but I just can't do it right now.
I originally started going on net forums, and then making this site, when I was off school most days of the week. I had cronic fatigue, which means it didn't go away in a hurry.
But, although I'm not perfectly well again, I am considerably better. I now have the ability to do the things I love, like sports. That, and going to school, means I'm having to
organise my internet time a bit more. So I regret to say that I'm making the most of being able to live life right now, and not putting as much time into my love of Lord of The Rings.
When this site first opened, I was really into the graphics, and I was just doing LotR ones because that was my main interest at the time. I was a beginner, who didn't know anything of
the big bad world outside Arwen-Undomiel.com. As my graphics began to diverge from LotR, I realised I needed to add more to the site. I just went for the standard, such as biographies and tonnes
of avvies. So now I've ended up with a site that really isn't 'me'. I wanted a tribute to Tolkien, not a movie-dependant site.
I love Tolkien. I guess one day I will come back to this place, when I feel I knwo how to express my love of Tolkien's works, but not now. Life is to good right now, and I need a break from my net commitments, and a chance to sort out my life and make
some desicions. It probably won't happen in the next 6 months. I can get a job this June, so I might be a bit busy round then. After that, prehaps.
None of this means I havent enjoyed the time I've spent running this place. I loved it. I've loved every moment of it.
It was probably the best way for me to start my web design, and get to know the net properly. And I had a great time getting to know some other Ringers, and a other LotR webmasters.
