Danzo is an eye with Sharingan so it is safe to say that he has some Uchiha blood running in his lineage so it might also be that family status could have been a decieding factor. Like other people have said before he was a leader of the Anbu and Root so his talents should compensate for his lack of charisma.

He became the hokage because he has been instrumental behind the scenes for many years in the village. If you look back at many of the chapters throughout the entire manga series he has been around. He trained secret black ops, and he used to be the leader of the anbu. He is not the leader yet, there still will be the vote.

Donzo is the shit! don’t underestimate him. Donzo does not have those extra feelings that make up the previous hokage’s that got konoha destoryed 2 times. plus he was in the league of the 3rd hokage, so you know he is strong as fuck. Donzo ftw!!

For one Jiraiya is dead so no point in saying he is a more powerful leader…………. and second of course they are going to pick a new leader at the time they are in…….. the village is destroyed and they need some guidence so their choices were kakashi and danzo and of course danzo nominated himself and he was in the meeting so he wins the end… get over it….
