Last time I wrote about skateboarding I promised to continue writing about cleaning the bearings. Well, we did that by a very unecological and cheap method. We bought gasoline (technický benzín [cz]) in a shop selling dyes. It probably cost less than 50 CZK, don’t remember exactly. The process of cleaning is quite easy. Just pluck the bearings out of the wheels, put into gasoline, shake, dry. The old bearings were damaged, cleaning and lubricating did not help. I have decided to buy Bones Redz for 350 CZK at a local skate shop. It was a bargain. Another local shop sells them for 490 CZK. Overpriced, isn’t it. Everyone recommends those Redz due to quality-price ratio. It comes in a little black box which contains 8 bearings, instructions and a sticker. I’d be happy to obey save-the-nature advice unfortunately a price of a citrus cleaner is a bit high compared to gasoline. Don’t even want to mention that it is not sold here.

This video shows how to put the bearings into the wheels. Easy but not for weak girls. It surely needs some strength.
