Sunset Class Luxury Liner:

"Relax, luxuriate, in an Eliheidrieu Sunset." -Hospitality Mantra, Eliheidrieu Sunset

The new flagship of the Kuiper Luxury Starliner Fleet, the Eliheidrieu Sunset is the largest and most extravagant luxury liner ever built. She sports 1500 spacious staterooms, with 1292 of these as exterior suites. Each stateroom comes equipped with numerous amenities: multi-display viewports, variable-mode Jacuzzis, 3m (9') ceilings, full climate control, etc. She also boasts a 30m (100') high arbouretum, an onboard private beach, stylish nightclubs, and a multilevel shopping concourse. Her domed restaurant, The Orbital II, can not only be extended out from the hull, but is also equipped with a propulsion unit to allow it to detach from the hull and allow her diners a spectacular view of the ship. Her impulse and warp facilities are built exclusive of the main hull, reducing the engine noise to nil within the main hull. A old fashioned annular warp-ring and electroluminecent hull panels completes her distinctiveness, and adds a stylistic flair to the whole experience.

Kuiper's Sunset class is based on the ill-fated Star Empress design, identical in form and function, however with vastly upgraded safety measures, and a full compliment of lifepods. On the Star Empress's maiden voyage, she was attacked by a marauding Romulan warship, with numerous casualties incurred due to a lack of installed lifepods. Looking to distance themselves from the debacle, Kuiper Luxury Lines renamed the class once the safety facilities were redesigned.

Eliheidrieu [el-ah-HEE-drew] is a tropical beach on Canopis IV, famous for it's spectacular sunsets. The displays are tinted by sands from a neighbouring continent blown by high winds into the upper atmosphere.
