V-44 D'Vastri Class Heavy Battlecruiser:
During the Katar's twenty-year development, many improvements were made to the original propulsion systems that had been appropriated during the Klingon/Romulan technological exchange. By the time the Katar was launched in 2292 many of the interm support craft had already been updated with these new advancements, including the D'Vas BCH. The refit supervisors saw fit to re-name the class to D'Vastri (Great Wings), as she virtually appeared to be a new craft altogether.
This class of BCH is slightly more manuverable than the Imperium class BCH, although it suffers from blind spots on it's port and starboard firing arcs. Most of the side-arc firepower was redirected toward the aft arc, making for a deadly followup to strafing passes.
