Attack

An attack (the "Attack: normal" option on the Send troops screen) is one of the three options for sending troops to a village (along with reinforcement and raid). In an attack, the troops will continue to battle until either the attackers or the defenders are completely wiped out. Use this attack mode (rather than raid) to inflict maximum casulaties upon an enemy force. If any of your troops survive the battle, they will then loot the village and capture resources.

When sending out catapults, rams, and senators, you must use attack mode for them to work.
