About

The GTP Alliance Wiki Project was started to provide users with the ability to freely post FAQ's and add and/or edit the FAQ's of others. This will also allow other users to freely express their opinion about the game.

Creation of this Page

You, the users of this Wiki, are allowed to modify and add your own information to any page of this Wiki. I thought this would be a useful tool for you to post your thought, opinions, tips, FAQ's, and any other things you have to say about Travian, now that you have been playing for several weeks!

Keeping You Up to Date

The Administration of the Forum and Founding Fathers will also keep this Wiki up to date with the latest news and events.

All I ask of anybody who uses this Wiki, "Please Don't use Profanity, Profane Language, or Abuse Others." Please try to use correct grammar too, but you will not be warned for poor grammar.

Rehosting of the Wiki

I re-hosted the Wiki because the last host wasn't very "nice". They gave me lots of grief about going on my five day trip last week. They didn't think it was the right thing to do, but I do have a life outside the internet. I am satisfied now.

Modification Attacks

In the past few weeks there have been two people that have abused the wiki. Today the largest of the two occurred. Somebody wrote some profane language on some pages. The prior abuse was just one page. The wiki has since been restored and the users banned. If you are going to modify the wiki in a bad way, please evaluate your decision some more.

Travian Google Group

I created a Travian Google Group that anybody can join. More info here.

Wiki Upgrade

I upgraded the wiki to MediaWiki v1.5.2. I don't know what it fixes or anything, so don't ask! (November 5, 2005)

Upgrades to Stop Virus

I upgraded the wiki to version 1.5.5. I skipped a few version because I was busy. I thought I better not skip this upgrade because I didn't want the site to get the WFM virus and then have the virus passed on to you, the user! (January 6, 2006)

Upgrade to stop SQL errors

I upgraded the wiki to version 1.5.6. I did this to fix the 30 second sql timeouts. I also had to because I messed up the other wiki by trying to install a forum on it! (January 22, 2006)

Registration Required

I will become semi-inactive in Travian. Due to my inactivity, I will come here once, daily, to check on the wiki and watch for spammer's. To edit an article, you now need to register an account. This is just for more security as I will not be around as much. (February 14, 2006)

Upgrade to MW 1.5.7

Today I upgraded MediaWiki to version 1.5.7. This fixes some security issues and it fixes some errors with IE 7 Beta 2. I hope those of you that use IE 7 can now see the logo. (March 5, 2006)

Upgrade to MW 1.6.0

Today I upgraded MediaWiki to version 1.6.0. This has a few new feature's. It is very exciting for me! (April 5, 2006)

Wiki Spammer

The wiki spam has been reverted. Everything should be back to normal. If you find an error, please revert it, post it here, or on my user page.

Search Plugin

I created a search plugin for Firefox! It allows Firefox users to type in a term, hit enter, and find what they want on the wiki fast and easy.

Custom Skin

I created and uploaded a custom skin for the wiki. The new skin is set as the default, but if you would like to go back to MonoBook you can switch back in your preferences. If you experience any problems with the skin, please post in the wiki thread at the Travian Forum.
