General Info

Bureaucrates and sysops have the ability to protect pages. A page gets protected so that others can not modify the page.

Pages often are protected to keep users from modifying a page to begin with, like the Main Page, or they are protected to stop people from spamming or blanking a page that gets abused often.

Protection Procedure

A bureaucrat or sysop can protect a page if they decide that it will be spammed often, or already is being spammed quite often. They hit protect and type into the box a reason for protecting the article (usually spam related). The article is then protected. If you wish to make a modification. Post it in the discussion page and the administration will decide if your information is correct, or follows the format of the rest of the wiki. If it meets this criteria, the edit will be made.
