Roman Troop Info/Translations

The Roman troops are both powerful and well armored. This strength has a price. Their units are more expensive than those of the other tribes and the training takes longer. Note: times below are times with barracks/stable/workshop level 1.

Legionnaire (Roman)

The simple and universally applicable foot soldier of the Roman army. Versatiley trained, they are suitable for both attack and defense. However, while they may not be particularly weak in any type of combat, they will never reach the strength of more specialized units, even at their highest level.

The Praetorian are the Emperor's guards. If necessary, they protect him with their life. For that reason they have a strong defense against infantry. However, they are poor at offense, or at defending against cavalry.

The Imperian is the supreme attack troop of the Roman army. Fast and strong in attack, defenders fear them. In addition, to their high price, their training is lengthy and therefore expensive.

Equites Legati (Roman)

The Equites Legati are the scouts of the Roman army. They are extremely fast, and can spy the units, resources or defenses of your opponent. This action will go unnoticed, unless the village you are spying on has a scout.

This is the standard Roman cavalry. Not that fast, but well armed and trained, all unprepared enemies fear it. However, one should remember you must provide food for both the horse and rider!

This is the Roman heavy cavalry. Very well-trained and well-armed they are slower than the Imperatoris and can carry fewer resources. In addition, they are more expensive to maintain – their training and skill has its price.

Ram (Roman)

The Ram is a siege weapon in support of the infantry and cavalry. Their job is it to break through the hostile protective wall and/or the rampart and to facilitate the attack of the troops. In order to be used effectively in requires escorts.

Fire Catapult (Roman)

The Fire Catapult is an excellent siege weapon for the destruction of buildings and resource fields. However, it is almost unprotected! Therefore escorts must be always sent. The further the Rally Point is developed – thereby training catapult operators – the better its accuracy. With the Rally Point at Level 10 each building can be targeted except the cranny.

Senator (Roman)

The senator is the elected leader of the people. He is a good speaker and knows how to persuade. Thus, he is successful in persuading the inhabitants of a hostile village to follow your empire. The more frequently he speaks before the walls of the village; the lower is the approval for the opposing ruler, until the village belongs to your empire.

Settler (Roman)

Settlers are brave and daring citizens of your city, who after long training, set out to create a new village in your honor. Since the journey and the establishment of a village are onerous, it always requires three settlers do it together. At the same time, they need 600 units of each resource to start the village.

Roman settlers can carry much resources but they aren't good raiders
