Teuton Troop Info/Translations

The Germanic units, the Teutons, are not for peaceful players. Offensively strong, but without good defense, they can defend, but only with many troops. Units train quickly and cheaply.

Clubswinger (Teuton)

The Clubswinger is the least expensive unit in Travian. Easy to train, they have only average attack and weak defense. Cavalry will ride them down easily.

Scout (Teuton)

The scout is often far ahead of the troops and explores enemy villages. They are not so fast, as they are on foot. They approach quickly and explore the opposing units, resources, and defenses. If no scout is present in the village you are spying on, this attack remains unnoticed.

With strong armour the Paladin is a good defender. Straight infantry is barely able to penetrate it. But their attack strength is rather small and they are only average speed cavalry. Their training lasts a relatively long time and is expensive.

Catapult (Teuton)

The Catapult is an excellent siege weapon to destroy buildings and resource fields. But, it is nearly unprotected! Therefore, escorts must always provide protection. The further the Rally Point is developed -- and thereby the men who operate the Catapult -- the more accurate the weapon is. In the Rally Point level 10, players can command catapults to attack a specific building, except for the cranny which must always be struck by random attack.

Chief (Teuton)

The Teutons select the Chief from their midst. In order to be selected, he requires not only bravery and skill at war, but also oratory.
