[edit] Settlers - General InfoSettlers are brave and daring citizens who move out of the village after a long training to found a new village in your honor. As the journey and the founding of the new village are very difficult, three settlers are bound together. Meanwhile they need a basis of 600 units per resource. [edit] Training SettlersSettlers are trained in the Residence or Palace. You can train three (3) settlers when your Residence reaches level 10, or level 20. If you have a Palace, you may train three (3) settlers when your Palace reaches level 10, another 3 at level 15, and 3 more at level 20.
You do not have to research settlers. The chance to train settlers arises when your Residence or Palace reaches the correct level. You will only be able to build three (3) settlers when you do reach the correct level. If you happen to lose one or all of your settlers in an attack or raid, or if the village you founded with your settlers gets destroyed or conquered, don't worry, you can always build another set of settlers at the expense of thousands more resources. (In other words, you can always build another settler if one of your three die, but try not to lose them because they are expensive.) All Settlers carry resources (Teuton Settlers even have some attack), so they can be sent on raiding parties, but I don't recommend it unless you know for certain the village has no defense.
