How to Start a New Village

This tutorial will go over how to start a second, or third village, etc. with settlers. You can go to another tutorial that will be added later to find out how to take a village with a chieftain, chief, or senator.

Training Settlers and Founding Your Village

Settlers can be trained when your residence reaches level 10 or level 20. They can also be trained when your palace reaches level 10, 15, and 20. Settlers don't need to be researched, but they are special citizens so they can only be trained in the palace or residence.

You must train three (3) settlers to found a new village. Train settlers by going into your residence or palace, typing in 1, 2, or 3, and clicking Train.

To found a new village, you must also make sure you have enough culture points. You can see the number of culture points you have by clicking culture points in your palace or residence.

After you have three settlers trained and you have enough culture points, look around at the abandoned valleys (fields) and find the one that you want. Each field has a unique pattern of resources, with some resources more abundant than others.
Once you find a spot you like, you can do one of two things - you may go into the map and click on the field you want, then once inside the info page for that abandoned valley, you can choose Found Village beneath the center map. (I recommend this way so you don't make a mistake and type in the wrong coordinates). Another way is to go into your rally point and send your settler out to that village location.

After Your Village is Founded

After your village is founded you can switch between your villages on the right side of the screen. If you have plus, you can also click on villages, on the right side of the screen, above your village names, to see a general overview of your villages.

You can also go into your residence or palace and see the villages that were founded from that building.
