How to Stop Being a Farm

I keep running up too many resources:

A few members have devised assistants to help figure out when upgrades will be available based on production and current stock, ask around they're quite helpful, you can calculate how long until you have the required resources to upgrade, come back then and buy it.

I keep getting raided at night when I'm asleep:

You need to calculate 66% of your current cranny (crannies) level capacity. Do not allow your stock to be larger than this value. If the required amount to upgrade is larger than this amount, you need to upgrade your cranny. Better to spend the resources on your cranny than give them to Alarich, witti, or Waltharius. The calculator I use tells me how much I will produce for a given number of hours away (sleeping) if this is greater than my cranny I know I'm at risk.

As a general rule you should always try to check your resources when you wake up to spend what you've accrued through the night. This should give you a few hours at least. Similarly, you SHOULD ALWAYS TRY TO DRAIN YOUR STOCK DOWN TO ZERO BEFORE YOU GO TO SLEEP. If your stocks are entirely protected by your cranny there is no reason to worry. How can you complain about constantly being farmed if you're allowing yourself to be by having 200 of each resource over your cranny capacity => you need to spend more or upgrade your cranny to the appropriate level.

Farming hurts us all, and discredits the alliance as something not to be messed with, and strong players help us make powerful allies, in addition to allowing you the freedom to spend your resources, rather than lose them 2-3 times a day.

If you are going to be attacked. Please spend the resources that don't fit on your cranny, or send them to somebody until after the attack. Send your troops away if you are going to be attacked, so you don't risk losing them.
