From Travian v2 Wiki (S2-S6), the encyclopedia anybody can edit

Wood is one of four resources in Travian. It is chopped from the woodchopper. Wood is stored in a warehouse. When one of the woodchoppers reaches level 10, a sawmill may be created which will boost wood production.
