In this continuing explosion of gamegasm offered to you by Cat, we present to you - LoL, or: League of Legends. (or: Dota II)
This is a full-fledged game based on Dota by the creators of dota. I only played a few games so far, but it seems to be pretty well made.
Its free and I imagine its going to be a pretty big hit.

considering how the full version costs 40 dollars at walmart, has 20 more heroes and a bunch of other shit and still sucks ass, I doubt the free version will be any good.

HON looks 2 times better than LoL Fox. I now remember seeing a trailer of it a long while ago, but when I saw LoL today I confused the trailer with it since I didn't think there would be 2 dota games in the works at the same time. -

Dota is Dota 2.
LoL looks fucking terrible, and HoN has killed the gameplay for me. Dota is still king.
Saying that though, if anyone wants a beta key for HoN, let me know. I think I need to send the invite by email. -

Just checked, actually have 6 beta keys. Let me know email address if you want one. Otherwise, open beta can't be too far away.
The nice thing is the game is only ~250mb I think. But the graphics are outlandish, and learning curve pretty steep (if you've never played dota). I much prefer DotA, but that is a personal preference. -

Aside from DoTA getting bland, it also had some of the meanest players ever. If you weren't pro, you got chewed out big time.

The word around ausgoons is that the pirated version has less connection issues than the legit version.
I don't have the CPU specs to play though. -

I have the pirated version. official forums state that in order to host a game you have to have a certain 4 or 5 ports forwarded, which I do, but a port checker program I have says they're still closed. I've spent about 3 hours today trying to figure out why I can't open those ports and just gave up.

this happens with the brand new router i got and its fuckin annoying + no solution as far as i can tell. tried resetting my computer and the router after forwarding the ports, no help -
is it a linksys?

Speaking of port forwarding shit, im running a wireless router in my apartment and my computer can connect to battle.net but my roommates can't. I don't think its his computers fault, i couldn't find any firewalls enabled. Any thoughts?

Dumbass, you can unlock champions completely just by playing a bit and paying in game currency for the champions full access. It's just a bit of earning. I've been playing this since the closed beta.Copypasta'd from The Dunwich Horror:

I've been playing this for a few days. Been cooping with a few friends online that bought it all off steam and it's fine for them and me. I can join their games perfectly fine. Don't know about you guys. All I had to do was forward those ports. The DMZ mode won't do shit on your routers so that might cause some issues. Just add me on gamespy, my name is jaku782 on there.
Since I can host I could probably power level the fuck out of anyone here in borderlands as I'm 48 in it. -
